Now then, if we look at that second figure in the chart, the central figure, we are looking at the Second Person of the Trinity, just as the upper figure is the First Person. There is only one God—God as Elohim, God in the fiery core of being, God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. But the great mystery of the incarnation of the Word is this: that this infinity of principle/person can experience itself a billion times a billion times throughout planetary bodies and solar systems and vast galaxies and all of the orders of celestial hierarchies, and still remain the Infinite One.
This mystery is what we have forgotten, and we all have known it in our higher consciousness. It is the understanding that this light lighteth every man and woman. If I am the experience of God where I AM, and God is experiencing consciousness where you are, and we say, “One here and one there and one there,” and that experience is the Christ becoming more of that Christ—do we say that there are millions of Christs? Or do we see the obvious, that one times one times one times one always equals one and God is becoming God through the vast creation of his sons and daughters, worlds without end, planes of consciousness beyond planes of consciousness.
When we fail to understand that, then we become idolaters, and we say that that universal God has been only in one temple—the temple of Jesus Christ—and the rest of us are sinners and we have no capacity to walk in his footsteps or appropriate his light because he only was the only Son of God.
Jesus is the Son of man, the lower figure in this chart, as we are sons and daughters of God. And that person of the Christ is the Real Self, not only of Jesus but of you and me. We lost contact with that Real Self, many of us, many embodiments ago because of our misuse of God. We fell from the state of grace, which is the state of conscious communion with that Real Self. The example of that conscious communion is in the Garden of Eden. There we see that Adam and Eve lose their contact with the LORD God who walks and talks with them in the garden, because they are disobedient to the law of the Christ who says, “You may not take the fruit, the energy of the Tree of Life, without first receiving the initiations of the personal Christ.”
And so they are removed from Eden, removed from that interchange. And they must go beyond that awareness of Christ and toil with the sweat of the brow. And they must then toil and have that karma of pain and suffering.
We have come to the age of redemption as well as judgment. We have come to the hour when, through the Holy Spirit and through the life of Jesus Christ, we could once again know that teacher face to face. And the prophets declared that in this age every man would sit under his own vine and fig tree. The fig tree is your own mighty I AM Presence, the source of your being, the Spirit behind the Matter. And your own vine is your own personal Christ Self.
It is written that whosoever would believe in the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus could give them the power to become sons of God. That is a very basic understanding of our faith. Let us see how he gave to us this magnificent energy at the hour of the Last Supper.
There is something very amazing taking place here. And that amazing action is a transfer of light. Here he is blessing the bread and the wine. What are the bread and wine?
They are vessels. They are instruments. Before he blesses them they are ordinary, just as we are ordinary until Alpha/Omega or Christ comes into our temple. But with the blessing, with the Word that is given by the master, then the bread becomes the momentum, the light of his body, and the wine becomes the essence of his blood. What are the blood and the flesh of Jesus?
The blood, again, is the essence of Spirit coursing through the temple, charging the being with Alpha, or the wholeness of Spirit; and his body, the Matter temple, is the Mother, the negative polarity, or the Omega. Jesus is instituting Communion for the sacred ritual of transferring to you the Alpha and Omega that he became, the all-power of heaven-earth, Spirit-Matter. And if he had not done this, we would not know that it was his intent that we should become the fullness of that same momentum of light. He was the fullness of the living God. He demonstrated that.
But he said to us that we are not yet wholly cleaned. We are not yet purged totally of our sin. “And therefore I cannot give to you the fullness of the Son that I have become, the fullness of this nucleus of the atom of my being. I cannot transfer it to you because that much intensity of energy in the state of your imperfection would only annihilate rather than restore.”
And therefore the only way that you can put on and become the fullness of your Inner Self is increment by increment, step by step. And so the partaking of the Body and Blood of Christ is that means whereby we eat at the master’s table, and we are served portions of himself so that we ultimately may, through the process of our own discipleship, stand where he stands and be one with him.
This is a very amazing experience which we see, because we understand that the body and the blood, or the bread and the wine, of our own being can also be sanctified by the Word, can also take on the light or the charge or the vibration of the eternal Christ. And it remains for us to submit to the will of God by love to experience the very same Path that he walked.
The quest for the Holy Grail is a quest in which we are all engaged today. It is a quest for the Real Self. The grail is a cup. It’s a tremendous symbol. You are a cup; I am a cup. And what is the object of a cup? It is a vessel that carries something. And so we are all vessels; we are temples. And we desire that God should pour the essence of himself into this temple and therefore make it alive. And we call that essence the Blood of Jesus Christ. And Christians say we are saved by the Blood of Jesus.
And when you understand the real meaning of that blood as the entire momentum of his attainment in Spirit, you can see truly that we all must drink of that cup, and yet we must have a cup to drink from. And that is why God has given to us these temples, this awareness, this soul, this consciousness, that we might dedicate it to be the chalice, because God will not pour his energy upon the ground nor will he pour it into a temple that is defiled and impure.
And so Daniel beheld the hour of our time, and he said that there was the abomination of desolation standing in the holy place where it ought not. That abomination of desolation is our own desolate consciousness bereft of the living God, our abuse of God’s energy within this temple, therefore allowing it to become corrupt and therefore not preparing the vessel.
Where will Christ come when he comes in the Second Advent? He may come in the heavens and in clouds of glory with his angels. He may come also as that person. But I believe that ultimately the point of his journey in the Second Coming is to come into the temple of his people, to descend into your temple and my temple.
And so I think that there are two types of Advent—the one that is literally described in the Bible and then the mystical understanding of that Coming. For except he come into this temple, there is no salvation. Salvation is self-elevation, the elevation of the Real Self. He must come into this temple to elevate that personal Christ.
Jesus Christ becomes the Saviour of the Piscean age. He becomes the avatar of that age. He says, “No man cometh to the Father but by me.” He says, “I AM the open door which no man can shut.” And it is written that “whosoever will believe on his name shall be saved.”
Now, this is a very interesting teaching. I think it has been misunderstood. And I am only expressing my personal opinion, and I know that there are those among you who will disagree with me. And I have a total respect for your religious experience and I thank you for respecting mine. And I think that’s the great gift of America, that we can sit together in one room and agree to disagree.
